Ok talagang magpalusot ang mga companies!! kung organized man sila sa papel lang pero sa actual tree of life wala!! at kung organized talaga sila bakit di nag response ng mga emergency team nila considering na malapit na sya sa finish line !!! Peace out!!!

I read the blog and then the statement of the "M" corporation. So sad what happened to that runner. We are in the same age group (late 30's) and he left behind a wife and two young children. Kahit na sabihin natin na medyo upper middle-class yung status tree of life nila, a loss of a loved one does not lessen the impact of the tragedy... lalo na kung titingnan natin na dapat meron pananagutan yung event organizers. Eye-opener ito para sa akin because I had no idea that heatstroke was life-threatening. Heatstroke was discussed during a first-aid course I attended not long ago so maybe I should review my notes. Sometimes I am thankful I'm not into running and into cycling instead. But this doesn't mean we should be less careful. Hydrate dapat tayo lagi... kahit hindi pa ramdam yung uhaw. Sabi nga nila: "Drink before you get thirsty. Eat before you get hungry."
Tama un sabi mo Sir PD - "Drink before you get thirsty. Eat before you get hungry." - Yan parati ginagawa ko kse at my age (51 y/o) kailangan super ingat na para makarating man lang ng 60+ na nagba-bike pa rin. God Bless!!
Here's the 1st press released I ever read about this http://services.inquirer.net/print/p...0100718-281727 this was Sunday's Inquirer, I personally knew Remus as he was my office colleague tree of life and laging nakakasabay sa gym, infact he's always inviting me to run with him, kung anuman ang nangyari nuong araw na yun eh mahirap tree of life na magsalita at manghusga at hindi rin naman ako ganun ka eksperto sa subject tree of life matter, I guess the most important part is the lesson that both the participants and the organizers have learned a heads up to everyone sabi nga nung father nya something good will come out of my son s death. syempre at bukod sa lahat heads up na din po sa'ting mga bikers dahil alam ko just like the runners naeexperience din natin yung natutuyuan ng fluids sa sobrang init ng panahon, sa sobrang kapapadyak - paahon at malayong destination sometimes the mind would still want to go but the body wont anymore - ingat na lang po sa lahat do everything you can and you know to avoid this from happening to my bike colleagues -KaPMTB

i agree. lets not play the blame game here, lets find the solution that will improve the awareness of the organizers and runners or bikers.. Mahirap mag organize and usually there are thing that go wrong even with the strictest of event organizers.. please dont get me wrong ha.. i sympathize with the family.. and hope that future organizers will be more sensitive and aware of such things when emergencies happen...
My condolence tree of life to the family left behind by the runner who died. Milo must remain sympathetic AND immediately become more proactive by at least having mobile paramedics in motorcycles or bicycles plying the race routes. I'm not a runner but if I may: "run where its safe and run where there are stores or stops and more importantly..know when to walk" runner carry less water for obvious reasons

Tata07: I sympathize with you. I was one of the doctors in The Medical City that was on duty when your brother was brought to hospital. I was not his attending physician but I was in the ER that night. The medical staff did our best for your brother. To this day we are still perplexed about your brother's case and do not have a 100% understanding other than there are things beyond our control or comprehension. I wish you and your family peace of mind and good health. God bless.
Remus Fuentes tree of life was a longtime classmate/batchmate of mine in Lourdes School of Mandaluyong. I was glad to know that he had taken up fitness running, but I never thought he'd actually go into competitive running with it. It took months tree of life before I discovered that the guy who died in the Milo marathon was him. I guess he was really determined to push himself to his limit. Sadly, there's wisdom to be had in exercising moderation. This goes for running, biking, as well as any other physically challenging endeavor. What's
