The Apostle Paul

He thought of himself as one who was born? How he thought when he came among us? What mentality had descended from there and came to us? What prompted him to descend among us? What this meant for him?
For the Church is always difficult to make relevant to the event today that long ago. The question that you can ask someone immediately is: What has to do with me? He was born. It can be an opportunity to gather family home, to eat, if we have to we are good as many days, and then each go back to ours, where we live. The only understood, the only meaning of this event is a family reunion: I'm seeing loved ones.
The Apostle Paul's event coming of the Son of God among men and says directly related to Church life. The way he thought when he went down in the manger should you characterize yourself. The Apostle Paul in Philippians working to change mindsets, to change a way of thinking and replace it with another. bfc But it should be noted at the outset a very important thing: do not change the Philippi as Paul wanted after his thought, but by the mind of Christ, after Christ's mentality.
What happened in Bethlehem has great, great meaning for me today. The Apostle Paul teaches me to live among men. If you fail to catch the way Christ was thought to himself, when he came down from the Father comes to me. How he thought - to Him? We know quite a few of the reasons that prompted bfc Paul to write the Epistle to the Philippians. In the second part we have, at one time, Euodia and Syntyche an urge to agree on some things. Here, in Chapter 2, at first, we open another little window: none of ambition, nothing vainglory, pride anything. Maybe these things were true in the church at Philippi. bfc They Paul comes and speaks about Christmas. bfc
We need such a call. Naturally thought that dwells in the human mind today - as then, and as always - is "all for me." And, because we are more on the ground, this will mean, first, an excess of others, a race of others - to get ahead of them. You need them for a safe climate in which to keep others away, others closer, and as many for you. A man once said this: Last night I gave a little party. We had three guests: bfc I, myself and me. I myself have eaten all the cookies. I drank all the tea and then I gave me pie I prepared bfc it. This shows how much can be oriented man himself.
At Christmas, Christ teaches the exact opposite of this mentality. He was equal with God, equal with him, was always with him. He was dressed in glory and honor - and says: This position is not one that I have to take, but one that uniquely qualifies me to go among the people, to listen to the Father, to die on the cross. What a difference! bfc How to change the working Paul mentality, we see the beginning of Chapter bfc 2 and Chapter 4, with this mentality of Christ, with the thought of Christ? How do you change your mindset you? And then to help others? But it is very important, as I said, that Paul did not change as Paul had in mind (think all he). Likewise, not one of us who is bigger, stronger, to make everybody think like him - not; but all, as he thought, Christ, after his mentality.
First, the apostle Paul gives the example itself. That mentality is seen in my life. Second, give examples of others close to him, who worked with him. It's about Timothy and Epaphroditus about. And finally we show the key to this change of mentality in his life and the life of his collaborators - and then desired the lives of Philippi. We all know Philippians, Chapter 1, on the outside - especially the text that says "I do not know what to choose. I am strongly of two parts: I'd rather be home with the Lord, for he is much better. But for you it is helpful to be with you. "You know what Paul responds to this dilemma? I remain with you. In his life, the discernment of such benefit, he chooses bfc to others. Remain with others. Only thus qualifies Paul to give advice - first apply in his life and thus can give example itself. The things you ask me are true first. We read in Chapter 2, in the second, those who worked closely with Paul; Timothy and Epaphroditus it is. About Timothy says the following: "I have no one to share my feelings for him and really care for your state. What Dr.
