This year I want to deepen more the Word of God, better and apply it to spread more efficiently (like Ezra, Ezra 7:10). This I want to realize here, and maybe my wish will be shared by many.
We here in this space, to follow the Word of God, to enrich the knowledge of him frumseţea to discover the uniqueness and reach as Paul wanted for. the Colossians, and pt. all of us the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Col. 3:16).
As can be seen, the Bible is divided into books (this is the only division from the start, division how to tie a tie into chapters and verses appeared much later). Therefore, I think it should be read as such (ie, the books), understood and preached books on books. I mean, looking to read a book of the Bible, to seek to understand his message, and see them for applications. so you should proceed with each book. And then, going through the entire Bible in this way, his message fully well know, to understand, to live and to spread it.
In this sense, how to tie a tie my concern was: Where to start? I mean, your fellowship with the message of the Bible. Perhaps the most normal how to tie a tie as the beginning, ie Genesis. However, my thoughts turned to a hard book dear to me, a short book, a book enjoyable to read, not too difficult to understand, not with theological difficulties, but with a strong message and deeply Christian life. It's Epistle to the Philippians.
Why this letter? It is short, easy to read, enjoyable to read, challenging and very necessary in these times. It is a letter which I like very much, which I learned a lot and continuously learn from it.
This letter is written by ap. Paul, in one of his imprisonments. how to tie a tie We know that Paul stayed in prison for. Gospel at least 2 years in Caesarea (Acts 24) and then to Rome. The references in the Letter to the faithful of Caesar House (4:22) and the palace (1:13) could lead us to believe it is imprisonment in Rome, but not necessarily be so, it seems Caesarea how to tie a tie could be these realities. To be generous, the letter was written sometime between AD 50-60
Apostle Paul writes this epistle as the Philippian believers gratitude for the help sent by Epaphroditus (4:18) and to inform them of his condition Epaphroditus, who fell seriously ill in this ministry of the aid goes to Paul (2 25), to encourage the neczurile going through, and to present the work God does in him and through him, even in chains.
In this epistle Paul makes four major statements about authentic how to tie a tie Christian life: authentic Christian life experience = Christocentric, 1:21. For me to live is Christ ... thought Christocentric authentic Christian life = 2: 5. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. Authentic Christian life = Sete continuing knowledge of Christ, 3:10. And to know Him .... = Full power authentic Christian life in Christ, 4:13. I can do all things how to tie a tie through Christ who strengthens me.
I think about these four statements are shifting epistle message. The theme of joy, which is seen by some main theme of the letter, I think it is only the consequence, or normal result of these realities. We can say that happiness is the inner attitude of the life of Christ in us, but outside atmosphere that must produce around us as Christians.

Epaphras. In Colossians 1: 7; 4:12; Philemon 23, one of Paul

Epaphras. In Colossians 1: 7; 4:12; Philemon 23, one of Paul's snapback friends and collaborators called Paul "fellow-servants" and "fellow prisoner". The name is an abbreviation of Epaphroditus, but probably should not be confused with Epaphras Epaphroditus in Philippians 2:25; 4:18 (like the TR Glover, Paul of Tarsus, 1925, p. 179). We can deduce that Epaphras evangelized cities Lycus valley in Phrygia, snapback under the direction of Paul during his ministry in Ephesus; Epaphras founded the church in Colossae, Laodicea, Hierapolis snapback and. Later he visited Paul while he was in prison in Rome and the news about the state churches Lycus valley led him to write the Epistle of Paul to the Colossians.

Epiktet - Slave to the body, in the spirit of the King | Intimate
The story of Epiktetu is not just the story of one of the many historical figures, but it is a story about a slave of flesh and blood, which is already in his lifetime became dress the personification of truth about the power of human will and the depth of his thoughts.
Born into slavery Although the Epiktet born as a slave, his influence on the spiritual life of Europe mightier than the impact of many of his contemporaries - both nobles and other great personalities who have life offered more options than him. His childhood was full of torture and ill-treatment, his master, the renowned Epafrodit, and was once even so badly vandalized him that he had sustained a fracture of the leg and the hromostjo marked for life. Even then, the young man showed his exceptionality. Its distortion is so courageous and dignified accept that this provoked admiration and respect for all of your surroundings, even master. This, for many severe blow of fate, it was just one of many difficult trials that have consistently shown that the fragile body Epikteta hides a strong and independent spirit. So strong dress that it can not break even strokes of fate nor human injustice.
Arts education is necessary to say that the raw Epafrodit rather unusual dress man. On the one hand, extremely brutal, on the other hand, it was also he who is Epiktetu provides a unique philosophical education and later even gave him freedom. Thus, Epiktet dress consume dress lucky enough to still be listened to as a slave philosophical lectures, including lectures known STOIK those times, Muzonija Rufus. The latter has impressed him. Since it's also got a lot of confirmation of the correctness of his thinking. The Stoics dress - such as on - despised physicality, especially fame and fortune, and were convinced that the truth struggle and true happiness, when the mind and will of nadvladata passion.
Since many of the facts of life Epikteta today is not known, remains a mystery, dress when Epiktet came to Rome and founded his philosophical school. It is known that the Emperor Domitian in 94 expelled philosophers, it is also Epiktet then went to the Greek city Nikopolus, where he continued his lectures. There is only confirmed his reputation has been obtained. Not only because of his lectures - it was more like a lot of discussion and lectures also not because they have attended herself famous names of the time, among other things, even the Roman Emperor Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius, but because it seems that it placed its life and moral behavior. Like all great sages before and it was Epiktet is also convinced dress that a good teacher only one who teaches by his own example.
Epiktet - Slave to the body, the king of duhuUčenje that leads to freedom dress of red thread of his philosophy speaks of the existence of two kinds of things: those who depend on us, and those who are not. These other, so our body and its integrity, our property, reputation and status are outside our influence, while our thoughts and desires, our goodness and evil, and our work in our government. Epiktet dress is therefore called to care for the latter, that is, those things which we have influence. In the center of human life is always erected dress freedom - as a natural reflection of man's essence. "To be free," for the time of your life probably often spoke, "means to act well in line with our nature and reason."
His mind even today remain how current: - O self improvement: dress "We assembled from the body, which we share with animals, and in the spirit that we have, together with the gods. Some people tend to the physical nature of our miserable and dead relatives and others to the spiritual nature, that is, to the happiness and divine in us. Therefore, dress some think noble, while others - the majority - not considering other than low and indecent thoughts. " - The richness: 'You will appreciate dress the snake only because it resides in a golden cage? This is because gold is less afraid of what her venom and evil nature? Be therefore, such as to the evil man, even though it is bathed in an exceptional wealth. ' - About the disease: 'disease is an obstacle to the body, not free will, free will unless this alone is not permitted. Paralysis may hinder leg, but can not interfere with freedom of choice. Think also about everything that is happening to you in your life, but you will see that your life inconvenience can not really hinder. ' - About the performance: "If dress you disclose about you to someone nasty talk, do not return to the same. Say instead: He's obviously not known all my bad qualities when it is limited to these! ' - About life application: "Remember that you are only actor who would play the game, as written by the author. This is short, if the author wants it to be short, and long, if a writer wants to be debt. If you would like to play a beggar, Play the role of a beggar as well as to play the role of King, a civil servant or an ordinary citizen. Since you are only required to be assigned to role play

That "Holy Apostles Sosthenes, Apollos, Cephas, Tychicus, Epaphroditus, Caesar and Onesiphorus'.
And from the same source we learn that "Sosthenes, which commemorates St. Paul, was bishop of Colophon. Apollo, which commemorates the same Apostle, was the second vandal bishop of Colophon, after Sosthenes. Epaphroditus, who still remembers the Apostle, was bishop of the colon. Onesiphorus was bishop of Caesarea. They all lived well and have pastored churches entrusted with devotion and their people. Enduring many attempts vandal to Christ, were killed by idolaters and the Lord gave their souls. "
Apostle Sostenis is mentioned in Acts. 18, 17, cf. GNT. St. Paul converted to the faith and fell asleep in peace. vandal He is painted in Orthodox iconography "in the face of a bald old man with long beard, holding a scroll wrapped, mark his apostolic preaching."
And kontakion the 7 Apostles remembered today is this: "Rooted you showed the vineyard of Christ, Apollo wise, Sosthenes, Cephas, Tychicus, vandal Epaphroditus, Caesar and Onesiphorus, giving grapes fully good deeds springing new wine of salvation, which receiving it, we celebrate joyful vandal and honorable remembrance of you, in order to pray as to give us great mercy and forgiveness vandal mistakes ".
And here are that of the 7 Holy Apostles today only remembered by the whole Church ... Onisiforos Apostle died a martyr. Where? In the "city Parium / Parion (not far from Ephesus) Helespontului shores, where I had gone to preach Christ among the heathen there."
The 12 Apostles of Christ, along with St. Paul, were itinerant, ie preaching everywhere ... because they had to ordain bishops. But the bishops ordained by the Apostles, with the exceptions of rigor, remained in the cities for which they were ordained and instituted ... Churches.
When St. Patapios met a demonized ... "devil, seeing far Blessed began to approach him by jumping, vandal turning his eyes, foaming, vandal gritting his teeth and terrify him with murder; then, approaching the Holy Patapios cried, vandal "O vandal need! a! distress, what is it? And here again is this man? What shall I do, where I go where I will live from now, much toiling me and just being me this place? Here now I need casts of the island; Nazarineanule're really awesome, really awesome and everywhere, above all, is thine inheritance. vandal So where I go, or in the wilderness or in the city, or where you are not present, the only sign of the Cross and driven vandal me thy name; for they are conquered and dispossessed ".
How much he labors to win people do when they earn their place in it, that makes outbreaks of Satanism. But also that demons and demonized people do not feel good ... near Saints. St. him banished from human ... the power of Christ, the Nazarene. And, not least, the call sign of the cross and the name of the Lord ... mean banning the demon in man.
And they will not come out of the bondage of demons vandal ... that's vandal why prefer to be outside the Church and live a pseudo ecclesial life, that one made after their mind ... and not by the holiness demands.
As shown, the Church of Cyprus is the rank of Archdiocese ... and Church of Cyprus was founded by the Apostle Barnabas vandal / Varnavas (iconizat above, together with Apostle Apostle Pavlos and Tychicus) in 45 d. AD. That is the first century Church.
And the first Archbishop of Cyprus Sophronius pastored vandal name during the reign of St Justinian the Great, that in the 6th century. Sophronius II e century. 12th. Sophronius III is in sec. 19th.
From here, they are remembered and 62 Hieromartyr priest of Africa, vandal along with 300 Saints Martyrs laymen whom Arian heretics were martyred. vandal When? In Zinon Emperor of Constantinople, in sec. 5.
And here and mention that today the Holy Martyr Anthus of Rome, who was baptized by St. Ambrose of Milan, which I mentioned yesterday. Because I do not want to be renamed by an Arian, she was thrown into the fire and thus died a martyr. vandal
Therefore, my beloved, we who build churches Saints live, composed of living people and full of grace and Saints who would rather die ... than to confess another faith outside the true faith of the Church.

Moments of respite on a narrow path, narrow all ... (R) | Fear and Trembling
Any adventurer of the mountains can confirm that the most impressive natural wonders are not on the beaten path of many, but in places where human foot rarely tread. uniform dating A dizzying precipice, a rare flower, uniform dating a cool spring, though all are hidden from our eyes, waiting for him to reveal those bold beauty ...
On paved paths, designed to the smallest detail, most of us are living normal lives as possible after the established patterns: follow a school, we find a job, start a family, pursuing a career, go to church uniform dating every Sunday. The landscape that we see around us is familiar, unspectacular: an office, a street, a house, a pulpit, choir, Sunday sermon, the film last night ... Nothing new under the sun.
Coming from this background, we read the verse in Philippians uniform dating 4: 8 as an invitation to a hypermarket: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is received, every good deed and any praise, think on these things. "
But this is not the perspective that I have the Pauline injunction when you look through the whole of his letters to the Philippians. Paul was not the man to walk in the light paths, beaten, for the general public. As can walk through mysterious and dangerous places had to deny surplus back; I tell her plainly that, I think there cast as a whole backpack.
Counting whole garbage bag as easier than ever, Paul left the broad path that goes around the world, and to courageously rushed to higher ground ... Do not talk, no not alone here. Here he and Timothy, stepping on his heels. Here's Epaphroditus, serving them faithfully. Here they even assuming Philippians generosity, not only thought but also in deed, that they have the Gospel.
In fact, what Paul notes that here on this narrow path and often misunderstood by many people, are really beautiful things in life, what deserves to be cherished, loved and appreciated for their value. Dedication like that of Timothy, similar to that which manifests a child to his father, passionate service that's Epaphroditus and work in the gospel field victorious over both petty agendas of profiteers and against chains of Roman prisons, and that of Paul, not found on all roads.
Look around, uniform dating says the Apostle to the Philippians: uniform dating All seek their own. (Philippians 2:21) Nothing valued, uniform dating honored and loved in it. This is the landscape that welcomes you in the broad road. If you want to see it continue, leave time to sift lives as before, let your life be more than not eating, drinking and married. But if you want to see God's beauty reflected in people who follow in the footsteps of Christ, follow me after Timothy, Epaphroditus after ...
Far from being a license for the selection of pleasant things in life, Paul's exhortation becomes a challenge in taking a hard road, of renunciation, of serving others, uniform dating one that puts us face to face with the treasures that the Creator has planted in the world created by Him.
Note that we are not talking here about the routine of going to work, school or Sunday gatherings. Above all this, however there - there must be! - An idea that unite them all to make sense of our walk and take us inland uniform dating where all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge can be seen in all their magnificence. This is the mind of Christ, let beauty unuiOmcare example advantages of divine position to come between us, to live and die on our behalf.
Let mind be in you which was also in Christ uniform dating Jesus and all that you will find his footsteps, that things true, noble, right, lovely and of good report not to leave you overlook ... Take them all with thanks and enjoy faithfulness of the Lord continually ...

God showed mercy to Paul, not to have sorrow after sorrow. In other words, he did not leave Epaphro

In Philippians 2: 17-18, Paul describes the possibility of his death as "a drink offering upon the sacrifice and work" their faith. He is ready to die in the service of purification and strengthening their faith.
Then he says that if this happens, "I rejoice and share my joy with you all. In the same way, enjoy yourselves and share your joy with me "(verse 18). Not only did he enjoys looking at the possibility of his death, but tell them to enjoy with him.
Already told by enjoying the possibility of his death: "I long to leave this life and be with Christ, for that is far better" (Philippians 1:23). We assume that this is why they should enjoy. They love Paul. So when Paul is "with Christ" that will be "much better."
Jesus told His disciples the same thing: "If you loved me, you would rejoice, watches because I go to the Father, watches for the Father is greater than me." watches (John 14:28). Father in glory is greater than the Son suffering. What a relief to come when the Son of work here would be finished and he returned in glory of the Father! So He says, if you love me, enjoy my departure.
But this is not the whole picture. Ten verses later in Philippians 2, Paul praises Epaphroditus, because "for the sake of Christ's ministry was about to die" (verse 30). But not dead. And Paul enjoys. Here it is: "It was so ill that he was about to die, but God had mercy upon him, and not only to him but to me, that I be not grieved beyond measure." (Verse 27) .
God showed mercy to Paul, not to have sorrow after sorrow. In other words, he did not leave Epaphroditus to die because Paul does not have the pain it over other trouble.
So when Paul says, 'Rejoice with me, "the possibility of their own death (Philippians 2:18), that is not the whole picture emotional. Paul would have expected "sorrow beyond measure" if Epaphroditus had died. And not because Epaphroditus was not ready to die. It was as ready as Paul: "Honor such people, for the sake of Christ's ministry was about to die." (Philippians 2:30).
We should learn that our sorrow caused watches by the death of a believer is a joyful sorrow and our joy at the death of a believer is a sorrowful joy. There is nothing hopeless about sorrow. And there is nothing watches superficial about joy. Just enjoy. And sorrow is mitigated watches by an invincible watches hope.
Therefore, one of the most popular keywords for the Christian life is "as sorrowful, although we are always happy" (2 Corinthians 6:10). Sorrow watches and joy are not only sequential. They are simultaneous. This is not an emotional schizophrenia. This is a complex harmony of Christian soul.

In the little town of them commanded by the Byzantine army Hilbudi that they want to get rid of, so they decide that it will be attacked. Iztok, Svarunov son makes a plan in which they are going to beat the enemy. von maur Then Svarun come up with yet that you could put on armor and defeated order to smoothly went to camp Byzantines, because he knew that the Byzantines much more army. This is done in this fight and win, but he was wounded in the fight Iztok, namely von maur the stone he flew in the head.
Meanwhile, Iztok beget thought to sloveni may have more power if it is in Byzantium belongs, as a soldier. Then comes the fort Hun Tunjuš who thinks that he came to the Byzantine taboj, but he saw what happened here and change to the page Slovenov. Here we see the hypocrisy. Then the entire tribe of the Huns crossed on page Slovenov. Iztok but still wants to go teach in Byzantium, so ask Radovan to take him there. At first he opposes, but eventually, it takes as his son and together Flee. When Svarun it learns send them to people to find them, but they fail.
On the way Radovan says Iztok that he was annoyed when he came to camp Tunjuš, because he knew that the latter is a spy and work for Byzantium. Then rode the Huns who want to rob a car, but it was empty. They could arrive in Constantinople and Eprafrodit them in gratitude offered accommodation.
In Constantinople, von maur the competition took place with the bow and Radovan Iztok entered in the contest. Eprafrodit bet on him a lot of money, instruct him also to be the last to be shot. The competition is punctuated by competitors, but none of them managed to hit the hawk, the master Azbadu not. Mounts a horse and odirjal toward the target, and in the fourth round tensioned tendon and triggers the hawk, straight to the heart. After the show wants Radovan return home, Iztok but still wants to stay.

Meanwhile, the story continues in Svarunu, which Tunjuš says that Antje preparing for combat, which is of course a lie. His evil side can also be seen as interested in Svarunovo daughter and sister Iztokovo.
In Byzantium but held military exercises in which Iztok commanding Slovenom and the Goths, Azbad but his legion. In the exercises were also present Justinian's wife Teodora and Irena. Teodora was evil, and when he sees that Irena interested in Iztok, wants to Iztokova and Azbadova Legion clashing with each other.
After the work is carried feast, a Iztok go to his new home, where they decide to Irene drove home. When Irena feast for the abolition of the slave out from the bush jump Iztok and she confesses his love. She is accepted only on condition that he adopt Christianity. Unfortunately, this conversation heard Teodora, which considers how networked effluent.
After a few days of waiting Iztok to Irene, dressed in red curls, as agreed. But instead it occurs Teodora, which Iztok learns only when they kiss. The next morning, von maur Iztok thinking about yesterday's events and the elderly Slovenian soldiers to think that they hit against Hernu. Then to the known dealer gets grooming with the message that his Teodora jealous and angry at Iztok, because his heart beats for Irene. Therefore, it decides on will also appear in this drama.
Irena Iztok write a letter in which he describes the true and only religion. They meet and boat sails, but someone followed them and attacks. von maur Iztok in this fight successfully fight and kill invaders Irene could take to Epafroditu, where she provides assistance and supplies.
The next day Iztok fights in the Hippodrome and the victory, it be declared a Master pedituma. Meanwhile, Teodora learned that Epafrodit supplies Irene and for this reason it is even more angry. He decides to take revenge and close the outlet in prison. von maur As was rude, he persuaded her husband Justinian to review each trader in the city. Epafrodit von maur alert Iztok should be guarded when it went supervised by guards. He collects all the wealth that you have and go to Athens.
Radovan is then returned to Constantinople, in order to warn Iztok before Tunjašom because intends deft brother against brother in the Iztok country. The Apostle Paul

He thought of himself as one who was born? How he thought when he came among us? What mentality had descended from there and came to us? What prompted him to descend among us? What this meant for him?
For the Church is always difficult to make relevant to the event today that long ago. The question that you can ask someone immediately is: What has to do with me? He was born. It can be an opportunity to gather family home, to eat, if we have to we are good as many days, and then each go back to ours, where we live. The only understood, the only meaning of this event is a family reunion: I'm seeing loved ones.
The Apostle Paul's event coming of the Son of God among men and says directly related to Church life. The way he thought when he went down in the manger should you characterize yourself. The Apostle Paul in Philippians working to change mindsets, to change a way of thinking and replace it with another. bfc But it should be noted at the outset a very important thing: do not change the Philippi as Paul wanted after his thought, but by the mind of Christ, after Christ's mentality.
What happened in Bethlehem has great, great meaning for me today. The Apostle Paul teaches me to live among men. If you fail to catch the way Christ was thought to himself, when he came down from the Father comes to me. How he thought - to Him? We know quite a few of the reasons that prompted bfc Paul to write the Epistle to the Philippians. In the second part we have, at one time, Euodia and Syntyche an urge to agree on some things. Here, in Chapter 2, at first, we open another little window: none of ambition, nothing vainglory, pride anything. Maybe these things were true in the church at Philippi. bfc They Paul comes and speaks about Christmas. bfc
We need such a call. Naturally thought that dwells in the human mind today - as then, and as always - is "all for me." And, because we are more on the ground, this will mean, first, an excess of others, a race of others - to get ahead of them. You need them for a safe climate in which to keep others away, others closer, and as many for you. A man once said this: Last night I gave a little party. We had three guests: bfc I, myself and me. I myself have eaten all the cookies. I drank all the tea and then I gave me pie I prepared bfc it. This shows how much can be oriented man himself.
At Christmas, Christ teaches the exact opposite of this mentality. He was equal with God, equal with him, was always with him. He was dressed in glory and honor - and says: This position is not one that I have to take, but one that uniquely qualifies me to go among the people, to listen to the Father, to die on the cross. What a difference! bfc How to change the working Paul mentality, we see the beginning of Chapter bfc 2 and Chapter 4, with this mentality of Christ, with the thought of Christ? How do you change your mindset you? And then to help others? But it is very important, as I said, that Paul did not change as Paul had in mind (think all he). Likewise, not one of us who is bigger, stronger, to make everybody think like him - not; but all, as he thought, Christ, after his mentality.
First, the apostle Paul gives the example itself. That mentality is seen in my life. Second, give examples of others close to him, who worked with him. It's about Timothy and Epaphroditus about. And finally we show the key to this change of mentality in his life and the life of his collaborators - and then desired the lives of Philippi. We all know Philippians, Chapter 1, on the outside - especially the text that says "I do not know what to choose. I am strongly of two parts: I'd rather be home with the Lord, for he is much better. But for you it is helpful to be with you. "You know what Paul responds to this dilemma? I remain with you. In his life, the discernment of such benefit, he chooses bfc to others. Remain with others. Only thus qualifies Paul to give advice - first apply in his life and thus can give example itself. The things you ask me are true first. We read in Chapter 2, in the second, those who worked closely with Paul; Timothy and Epaphroditus it is. About Timothy says the following: "I have no one to share my feelings for him and really care for your state. What Dr.

J. Agar Beet,

Epaphroditus. A Christian Macedonian Philippi. There is no reason to identify with Epaphras in Colossians 1: 7; Philemon 4:12 or 23. His name means "pleasant" or "charming". Paul calls him "the messenger (messenger) you" (hymon Apostolon, Philippians 2:25), where the term used is often translated in other places where it appears with "apostle". This does not mean that Epaphroditus held any office in the church at Philippi; he was only a messenger centro (cf. 2 Cor 8:23) which resulted from a church but for Paul, imprisoned in Rome. He became seriously ill, perhaps as a result of the effort made the journey from Philippi to Rome, or during Paul's ministry in Rome. In Philippians 2:30 tells us that "put his life at stake." The word used is paraboleusamenos, "risked his life" centro at paraboleuesthai, "raising, venturing".
